Siege of Oakhaven is a meticulously crafted 2-player asymmetric miniature wargame. One player commands the desperate defenders of a besieged castle, while the other orchestrates the relentless assault of an overwhelming invading force. Every custom miniature, every hex on the map, and every card in play is designed to evoke a sense of high-stakes medieval conflict.

Key Design Challenge: Intelligent Solo Play

One of the primary challenges was designing a challenging yet non-fiddly AI opponent for the solo mode, allowing players to experience the epic siege even without a human adversary.

My Solution: Dynamic AI Priority Deck

I developed an innovative deck of 'AI Priority' cards. These cards dynamically dictate enemy actions, creating unpredictable and strategic challenges with minimal player upkeep. The AI adapts, creating a genuinely engaging solo experience that mirrors the tension of a live opponent, without complex flowcharts or excessive rules lookup.
